Cody graduated from Rice University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, including a specialization in Data Science. He studied neural networks and was increasingly interested in AI. This foundation launched his career at Microsoft's Azure AI Platform, building the core services that power AI applications worldwide, including ChatGPT and Microsoft's Copilot. After Microsoft, he joined bleeding-edge data & AI startups building the tools that power modern data engineering, analytics, and AI pipelines.
His technical expertise spans languages like Python, Rust, Go, and SQL. He builds lakehouses, streaming systems, and distributed databases for data platforms. His ML/AI work covers production pipelines, MLOps, and model deployment. His infrastructure foundation includes cloud architecture, networking, and security.
As both architect and product leader, Cody transforms complex technical challenges into practical solutions. Based in Gainesville, Florida, he helps organizations everywhere build world-class technical capabilities. He focuses on empowering companies outside traditional tech hubs to compete at the highest levels.
